Impact of New Rural Pension Insurance on Farmers’ Agricultural Mechanization Service Inputs

The rural social security system is a crucial guarantee for the purpose of transforming agricultural production methods. This research assesses how new pension insurance (NRPI) alters farmers’ mechanization service (AMS) inputs. Using 2016 and 2018 waves China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), study observed that NRPI significantly increased AMS Participation in could increase inputs by 18.6% 13.2% households with without elderly farmers, respectively. Both grandchild care labor off-farm transfer were significant mediating relationship between accounting 13.72% 9.13% inputs, Furthermore, families mechanism tests suggest crowding-out effect was fundamental transmission to contribute proportion value 15.41%. Additionally, heterogeneity analysis demonstrated had more evident on farmers care, as well low non-agricultural high level income. For NRPI’s promotion investment when there levels conclusion provides references improving promoting sustainable development.
